OK, now that you've read what is perhaps the
most outstanding advertisement ever written, I want you to
e-mail me at
[email protected] and tell me WHY you think this
ad was so successful. HINT: It's the same thing that made
the letter for the Eye Surgery Centers of Tennessee so
successful... and... it…

So e-mail me ([email protected])
and tell me your thoughts as to why each of these three
pieces of writing are so exemplary. In return, my next
newsletter will contain a detailed explanation of the REAL reason each of these pieces of writing are so
outstanding.

I'll post that newsletter right after I
return from Costa Rica (I'm leaving on July 4 for a week).
Then, all of you who so devotedly read this newsletter will
be rewarded with some wisdom that can indeed...

Make You
Wealthy!

Sincerely,

Gary C. Halbert

P.S.
Aren't you proud of me? I didn't use the word "shitweasel"
once in

this newsletter.

Peace.

Dear Friend & Subscriber,

I want to thank all of you who sent me your
guesses as to why my sales letter for the Eye Surgery
Centers of Tennessee was such a good example of world-class
copywriting.

A handful of the replies were dead-on
target.

Another handful of replies missed the mark
by a country mile.

But most of the replies (an enormous
amount) got it partially correct... but... they only "danced
around" the really important copywriting secret that letter
demonstrated so vividly.

I'm going to reveal the answer to you soon.
But first, I want you to read and think about another piece
of writing. Here it is:

A Valentine For Jessica

Once upon a time,
a man was walking alone through a quiet
neighborhood in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was
raining that day. Not seriously, more of a
drizzle than…

private
thoughts. How she had come to realize her life path was best
defined as "spiritual" rather than religious;
how she had discovered giving to others was not
a duty nor a moral issue, but rather, a
dependable source of genuine, selfless joy for
the giver; how she came to understand her
compulsions were not to be fought nor railed…

by the
realization

that nothing in the universe had, nor ever would
happen, by mistake. She began to experience joy
the exact moment she realized joy was not a
manifestation of circumstance but, a result of
an "inside-out" process when one's true soul
becomes unshackled by vain and petty concerns.
She had evolved. She had come to fully…

Almost every day.

OK, what you just read may NOT have been
written by me. But it is a piece of writing containing a
secret ingredient that makes it so outstanding. Can you
guess what this is?

I hope some of you write me with guesses to

[email protected].

Sincerely,

Gary C. Halbert

P.S. Keep watching this website like a hawk. The next
newsletter you read will

be absolutely stunning to many of
you.

Peace.

Dear Friend & Subscriber,

I have received an enormous amount of e-mails from people trying to guess why each of the three letters I recently put on my website were so successful. (The letters in Parts I, II and II of "Can You Guess?") Today, I'm going to talk about…

As I mentioned before, out of all the replies I received regarding those newsletters (Parts I, II and III), a small percentage of my subscribers hit the answer right on the head, another small percentage didn't have a clue, and most of the guesses fell somewhere in the middle (meaning they were partially right about what made those letters…

A lot of you attributed the excellence of the letter written for the Eye Centers of Tennessee to the dollar bill attached as a grabber. Let me explain something: Attaching a dollar bill to the top of a letter to get someone's attention is what I call a "multiplier". In other words, it is very likely to multiply the…

You Can't Multiply Zeros!

Other subscribers wrote saying the letter was effective because it was mailed to people with the proper demographics which made them most likely to need the service. Well, as near as possible, the letter will be mailed (hopefully for years to come) to people with the proper demographics. However, any profitable promotion has to be…

The REAL reason the Eye Centers' letter worked... the really "stand out" feature of this letter over most other letters... can be summed up in one word:

Proof!

Specific, detailed proof.

Ray Mays, the Director of the Eye Centers of Tennessee, gave me substantial help with that letter. How so? He provided me with an enormous amount of detailed information…

However, even though Ray Mays provided me with all this invaluable ammunition, you know what else I did? I had Dr. Patterson treat me exactly as though I were a new patient. I filled out the admitting forms, allowed myself to have my eyes examined by his staff, and went through the whole routine just as though I were a…

It also didn't hurt that I, myself, have had two eye surgeries. One of which involved the removal of a cataract (which is Dr. Patterson's specialty).

Many of my readers were shrewd enough to mention the letter was, in many ways, similar to the famous "Schlitz Beer Letter" written by Claude Hopkins decades ago. What Claude Hopkins did…

They Never Bothered

To Inform The Drinking Public

About All These Specific Details!

Probably other eye surgeons use some of the same procedures Dr. Patterson uses to ensure the safety and effectiveness of their operations... but... they miss the mark by not informing their patients about all this.

Remember, I said the Eye Centers' letter is not only a good example of proof, I said it was specific, detailed proof. Here's just a few examples of what I mean:

Where The Procedures Are Performed

Dr. Patterson performs all eye surgeries in an ambulatory surgery center which is licensed by the State of Tennessee and certified by the…
