Delay Is The Death Of All Dreams
# Delay Is The Death Of All Dreams
Dear Friend
& Subscriber,
This
month seems to have gone by in a New York second.
In fact, sometimes it seems entire years go by in
just the blink of an eye. I bet that's true for you too and, I bet I'm going to
give you something to think about... right
now... which you will never forget for the rest of your life!
Let's see if I'm right.
Look, I have a friend who showed me something he'd
just finished creating on a piece of paper. It looked like this:

He said each square represents one year of a
person's life. There were 76 squares drawn on that piece of paper because 76
years is the average lifetime of a person living in America.
The squares with the "x" in them
represented the years he had already lived. The squares without an "x"
represented the years he had remaining if he lived the average lifetime.
What this paper did for him, he said, was give him
a graphic and somewhat depressing visual depiction where he was in the stream of
time of his own life.
To make all this a little less morbid, you should
know people who make it to 65 years of age continue (on average) living until
they are 86 years old.
Did
you know the oldest person in the U.S. died a couple days ago? She
lived to the ripe old age of 113. Maybe with all the medical
advances coming so fast and so furiously nowadays, within the next
few years the average lifespan will be 113 for us all. Who knows?
