Планирование: белка, один день, шесть недель
## Белка
> «You watch a squirrel run across a field. It knows where it wants to go, roughly, and it runs, and it scurries, and it stops and it looks around… It doesn't need to get exactly where it wants to go. It knows roughly where it's headed, and then it course-corrects.» — Founders, [0:39:34](https://youtu.be/BdDCtMA1gSw?t=2374)
Горизонт компании — шесть недель, дальше не планируют вообще. Ни года, ни квартала. Исключения за 27 лет были — например, уход из облака.
## Почему длинные планы хуже коротких
> «I've always been mystified by people who think they can figure out the next three years today, but they're afraid of figuring out tomorrow, tomorrow.» — Founders, [0:38:46](https://youtu.be/BdDCtMA1gSw?t=2326)
> «I don't plan long-term because I want to do what I think, not what I thought.»
И главная опасность:
> «People end up doing things they don't want to do because they said they were going to do them. Obligations in the future, I think, are quite dangerous.» — Lenny, [1:04:45](https://youtu.be/dAnF0tk0di8?t=3885)
Вопрос «каким будет успех через пять лет» он считает бессмысленным ещё и потому, что отвечает на него не тот человек: ты отвечаешь за того себя, каким предполагаешь стать.
## Маленькие единицы
> «A day is a good small unit. A simple decision is a good small unit. And the good thing about that is, if you screw up, it's not a big deal. If tomorrow sucks… it's behind you in 24 hours.» — Founders, [0:45:05](https://youtu.be/BdDCtMA1gSw?t=2705)
