Avoiding FOMO and chasing trends

you think about? How would you approach this? What would you prioritize? I I can't answer the question, honestly. I mean, I'll I'll give you an answer because you asked, but I I don't don't listen to it because, you know, I I don't like hypotheticals in those cases because I don't really know. I don't know what I would do. I don't think I'd start another software company. I just don't really I think what I would do is I'd probably start my own thing just solo. So, if I had to do anything, it'd be a solo thing. Um, and it's not because I don't love our employees. I do. I just like I've I've had the responsibility of running an organization for for two decades going on almost I mean 26 years. So we're getting closer to three decades now. I've enjoyed that. But it's also enough for me at some point if I didn't do this again, I wouldn't try to rebuild this

what I have. I'd probably do something solo or I get in an entirely different thing. I would just do something else. Um, like what? Playing the drums. I can't make enough uh of a living doing that. I don't know. I really don't know. I mean, I think I'd probably want to start like a local shop, a store of some sort. I just really like simple businesses. That would just be me. It just be open when I was there, you know? Um I'd probably it probably be a tea shop actually is probably what I would ultimately open. But I I again I'm making this up because like would I really do that? I don't really think I would really do that. But that's sort of the fantasy of what I might do. I I think in the at the end of the day, um I'm very happy doing what I'm doing now. Um I like what we're doing now. If it went away, would I do it again? No.

Would I do the same thing again? No. Would I try to re restore what I had? No. I'd probably take it as an opportunity to do something totally different. And I don't think I would know what that would be until I was in that position. That's ultimately the actual truth. So, I can make up the stories, but I think that's the actual truth. Are you inspired or or influenced in any way by Japanese culture? I mean, you mentioned tea there, but there there's also like some zen-like feeling about your guys approach to broad. Yeah, I mean, I admire it and respect it, you know. I I but it's not something I would say we we like reflect on, you know, but there's a lot to admire and respect in terms of just the, you know, there there's a certain serenity to it. There's a certain um uh minimalism to it, which is interesting. Um but there's also it's not just minimalism, it's
