Well, Mike runs this ad copy online at www.tvonpcelite.com/5
and it works like gangbusters. Also, we are about to test
this ad in newspapers.

But, it's a long ad, ain't it? Sure is, 3,000 words
plus a few more depending on what close we are using.
So how much newspaper space do we need to run an ad like
this? Two full pages? More?

Actually, if you know what you are doing, believe it
or not, you can get it onto just one page. But, you gotta
be working with a savvy typesetter. We worked with Len
Mitsch who is located in Minneapolis. (I guess it doesn't
matter where you are located these days.) Anyway, I want
to give Len a plug here and, in a moment you'll see why
he comes with my highest recommendation. His phone number
is 651-286-6706 and, his email address is [email protected].
Truly, if you need typesetting, he is as good as they
come.

So here's how this ad is formatted:

Kevin, insert ad here.

Notice this ad has six columns. This is a really good
idea for a long copy ad. See how the headline is upper
and lower case and flushed left and ragged right? See
how the subheads are located throughout the ad to give
the ad visual relief. See the copy inside the two boxes
and where the boxes are placed in the ad?

Look, you already know you should have a swipe file
of great ad copy. Well, I'm here to tell you should also
have a swipe file of world-class formats...and...

This Ad Can Be

The Very First

In Your Collection!

By the way, to get an idea of how this ad will look
in the newspapers, just imagine the ad is four times larger.
