Jason’s philosophy on culture: it emerges, not planned

from four to five we're working on base camp 5. Now five is going to be a more radical change, but not radical enough that it has to be a from scratch new version. So people on four will actually be moving to five automatically. We'll give people a big heads up. A lot of that stuff. However, there's also new things that we want to do from scratch that are just so different and our new ideas that um we always start them separately and that's where we can explore something brand new. And so, you know, again, it just depends, I would say. So, it's not formulaic. And this is something I want to kind of reiterate is that you don't have to always do something the same way. You don't always have to follow the same rules. There's not one way to do things. You should be more It's more about context than consistency. Context is where it's at in

our opinion. You look at every situation, you figure out what makes sense for that situation, and you do that. You don't always do it the same way because that's how you did it. than actually there's reason to be to pay attention to the context and often times the context will breeds a certain degree of consistency but don't be um beholden to consistency just because it sounds like that's what you're supposed to do. Petro said there needs to be an index of companies that use base camp and have open jobs in my career. I've tried to introduce base camp numerous times at companies that use Stura and the likes and it's been impossible. blame like the I mean there if you go to I think that's the URL. customers. Thousands and thousands and thousands of testimonials. I I shouldn't say thousands and thousands and thousands. There's it's called a thousand testimonials. Um and these company they're small companies or a lot of companies you've never heard of. A lot of our customers are small companies. We are interested in building software for small businesses for for for scrappy hungry businesses. I could care less about enterprise companies. I'm not interested in any big companies whatsoever in terms of some use our products, but we don't build them for them. So, you'll go to this page, you'll see a bunch of names and a bunch of company names, many of which you'll never recognize. That's beautiful to us.
